Overview
The Refer & Earn dashboard is where you manage your referral link and follow every referral you've made. It shows what you've earned, what's still on hold, and where each person you referred stands, from their first signup to the day you're paid. This guide walks through both tabs and what every number means.
You'll find it under Refer and Earn in your dashboard. The account owner, admins, and bookkeepers can view it; generating the link is owner-only. At the top you can filter what you're seeing by period: YTD, Last year, or All time.
The Refer tab
The Refer tab is your home base for sharing and tracking earnings. It brings together your link, your reward progress, and three at-a-glance earnings figures:
Your earnings: the rewards paid to you in the selected period.
Pending rewards: rewards you've unlocked that are still in the hold period. Each one pays out after the referral has stayed subscribed for 100 business days.
Total rewarded: how many referrals have paid out in the period.
This tab also holds your referral link card and the Share via email composer. For how to generate and share your link, see How to get and share your referral link.
Your reward progress
The How you earn card lays out your reward schedule (your per-referral rate and the bonuses ahead of you) with a simple reminder of the flow: Share your link, They subscribe, You get paid. Rewards are paid automatically once a referral completes the payout hold period.
As a Member, once your first referral matures, a Milestone bonuses card replaces How you earn and tracks your progress toward your next bonus. You earn a $200 bonus once 5 referrals stay subscribed, and a further $200 (a cumulative $400) once 10 referrals stay subscribed. The card fills in as you go and celebrates when every milestone is unlocked. Bonuses are paid automatically alongside your standard payout once the qualifying referral matures.
The Status tab
The Status tab is where you follow individual referrals. Three cards at the top break your referrals into a funnel you can click to filter the list:
Trials started: people who signed up through your link but haven't subscribed yet.
Subscribed: referrals who've subscribed to a paid plan and are in the hold period.
Rewarded: referrals that have paid out.
Below the cards, the Your referrals table lists each referral with three columns: Referral, Status, and Timeline. Before someone finishes setting up their profile, their name shows as New signup. Their real name appears once their profile is complete. The table shows 20 referrals per page, with Previous and Next to move between pages.
What each referral status means
Every referral moves through a clear set of stages, shown as a status badge with a short timeline note:
Trial started: they signed up through your link but haven't subscribed yet. The note shows when their referral window ends.
Subscribed: they've subscribed to a paid plan and are in the hold period. The note shows when your reward unlocks.
Reward pending: the hold period is complete and your reward is Paying soon, awaiting the next payout run.
Rewarded: the reward has been paid. The note shows the date you were paid.
Expired: the referral didn't subscribe within the eligible window, so it won't earn a reward.
If your rewards are waiting to be paid
If you've earned rewards but haven't connected a payout account yet, the dashboard shows a Your rewards are waiting alert: "You've earned referral cash. Connect your bank to get paid." Click Set up payouts to add your payout details so your matured rewards can be released. Full details are in Getting paid: referral rewards, timing, and payouts.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I see how much I've earned?
On the Refer tab: Your earnings shows what's been paid, and Pending rewards shows what's unlocked but still in the hold period. Use the period filter to switch between YTD, last year, and all time.
Why does a referral show as "New signup"?
That's a placeholder until the person finishes setting up their profile. Their real name appears once their profile is complete.
What does "Reward pending" mean?
The referral has completed the 100-business-day hold and the reward is cleared to pay. It's just awaiting the next payout run, which happens weekly.
Can my team see the referral dashboard?
The account owner, admins, and bookkeepers can view Refer & Earn. Generating the referral link is limited to the account owner.
What does "Expired" mean?
The referral signed up but didn't subscribe within the eligible window, so it won't earn a reward. You can keep sharing your link to bring in new referrals.
How many milestone bonuses can I earn as a Member?
Two, so far. A $200 bonus at 5 referrals that stay subscribed, and another $200 at 10 (a cumulative $400 in milestone bonuses on top of your per-referral earnings).
