Overview

As your event business grows, so does your lead list. Wedy Pro gives you a focused set of tools to cut through the noise — search by name or email, filter by status or time period, and toggle between two view modes so you always find the lead you need in seconds.

Time to complete: 2–5 minutes.

How to search for a specific lead

To find a lead quickly on the Wedy Pro Leads page, use the search bar at the top of the page.

  1. Navigate to Leads in the CRM section of the sidebar.

  2. Click the search field labeled Search leads... at the top of the page.

  3. Type a name, email address, or phone number. Results filter in real time as you type.

  4. Click on the matching lead row to open their detail view.

Search works across both the list view and grid view — whichever mode you have active. If your search returns no matches, Wedy Pro displays a No leads found message with options to Clear Filters or Add New Lead.

How to filter leads by status

Every lead in Wedy Pro has one of two statuses: Active or Inactive. Filtering by status keeps your working list focused on the leads that matter right now.

  1. On the Leads page, locate the Status dropdown next to the search bar.

  2. Click the dropdown and choose one of three options:

    • All Status — shows every lead regardless of status.

    • Active — shows only leads marked as active (your current prospects).

    • Inactive — shows only leads you have marked as inactive (cold or archived leads).

  3. The leads list updates immediately. An active filter pill appears below the filters showing your selection, with an X to remove it.

To reset the status filter, click the X on the filter pill or click the Clear button to reset all active filters at once.

How to filter leads by date range

Use the date filter to narrow your leads list to a specific time period — helpful when reviewing recent inquiries or identifying leads that have gone cold.

  1. On the Leads page, click the date dropdown (next to the Status filter).

  2. Select a time range:

    • All Time — no date restriction.

    • Today — leads created today.

    • Yesterday — leads created yesterday.

    • This Week — leads created during the current week.

    • Last 7 Days — leads from the past seven days.

    • This Month — leads created during the current month.

    • Last 30 Days — leads from the past 30 days.

    • Last Year — leads from the past 12 months.

  3. The list updates instantly. A filter pill appears below the filters showing the selected range.

You can combine the date filter with the status filter. For example, select Active and Last 7 Days to see only recent active leads — perfect for prioritizing follow-ups after a busy wedding show weekend.

How to switch between grid view and list view

Wedy Pro offers two ways to view your leads, each suited to a different workflow.

Grid view groups leads by the month they were created — for example, January 2026 - 5 Leads / 3 Active, 2 Inactive. Each month section is collapsible, making it easy to scan recent months or drill into a specific period. Grid view is the default when you have more than 10 leads.

List view is a flat table sorted by last activity. It shows all leads in a single scrolling list with columns for Name, Email, Status, Phone, Organization, Job Title, and Last Activity. List view is the default when you have 10 or fewer leads, and it works well for data-dense scanning or preparing for a CSV export.

To switch views:

  1. Locate the circular toggle button next to the search bar on the Leads page.

  2. Click it to switch between grid view and list view. Your selection applies immediately.

Change a lead's status from the leads list

You do not need to open a lead's detail view to update their status. Change it directly from the list.

  1. Find the lead in the list or grid view.

  2. Click the Status badge on the lead's row (it shows either Active with a green dot or Inactive with a gray dot).

  3. A dropdown appears. Select Active or Inactive.

  4. The status updates immediately — no save button required.

This inline status toggle is the fastest way to mark cold leads as inactive during a weekly pipeline review.

Tips for managing a growing lead list

  • Mark cold leads as Inactive — Keep your Active filter focused on real prospects. If a lead has not responded after several follow-ups, toggle their status to Inactive. You can always reactivate them later.

  • Use the date filter for weekly reviews — Select Last 7 Days at the start of each week to see which new leads came in. Prioritize fast responses — event clients often book the first vendor who replies.

  • Combine filters for precision — Stack the status and date filters together. For example, filter by Active + This Month to see this month's hot leads at a glance.

  • Use Organizations to group related leads — If a venue planner or referral partner sends you multiple clients, group those leads into an Organization so you can track them together.

  • Switch to grid view for seasonal patterns — Grid view groups leads by month, giving you a visual sense of your busiest inquiry periods. Use this to plan your marketing and availability around peak seasons.

Frequently asked questions

Can I search for leads by phone number?

Yes. The search bar on the Leads page matches against name, email, and phone number. Type any part of a phone number to find matching leads.

What happens when I mark a lead as Inactive?

The lead remains in your CRM — it is not deleted. Inactive leads are hidden from the Active filter view but still appear when you select All Status or Inactive. You can reactivate a lead at any time by changing their status back to Active.

Does the date filter use the lead's creation date or last activity date?

The date filter narrows results based on when the lead was created. To sort by most recent activity, use the list view, which orders leads by Last Activity by default.

Can I save a custom filter combination?

Wedy Pro does not currently support saved filter views on the Leads page. However, your selected filters remain active as long as you stay on the page, so you can work through a filtered list without losing your criteria.
