Your external links connect your Wedy Pro marketplace listing to the rest of your online presence. When potential clients browse your profile on Wedy App, they can click through to your website, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest — giving them more confidence in your work before reaching out. Adding these links helps customers find and connect with you across platforms.

How to navigate to External Links
To add or update your website and social media links in Wedy Pro:
Click Profile in the sidebar under the Marketplace section.
Select the External Links tab from the profile sidebar (desktop) or tab navigation (mobile).
How to add your website link
The Website field lets you link to your business website or online portfolio. Wedy Pro automatically adds the www. prefix, so you only need to enter the rest of your URL.
In the Website field, type your domain — for example, mysite.com or janedoephoto.com.
Click Save.
Your website link now appears on your public Wedy App marketplace listing, where clients can click through to explore your full site.
How to add social media links
Below the website field, the Social Media section lets you connect your Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest profiles. Each field automatically adds the appropriate prefix — just enter your username or page name.
Instagram — Enter your handle (e.g., yourusername). The @ symbol is added automatically.
Facebook — Enter your page name (e.g., yourpage). The @ symbol is added automatically.
Pinterest — Enter your username (e.g., yourusername). The / prefix is added automatically.
Click Save.
Where your links appear on the marketplace
Once saved, your external links display on your public vendor profile on Wedy App (wedyapp.com). Clients browsing the marketplace can see your links while evaluating your services, packages, and portfolio — giving them a complete picture of your brand before sending an inquiry.
A wedding photographer in Austin, for example, might link their portfolio website, an Instagram feed showcasing recent shoots, a Facebook page with client reviews, and a Pinterest board of styled inspiration. Each link gives prospective clients a different perspective on the photographer's style and professionalism, making it easier to decide whether to book.
External links during onboarding
External links are part of your initial profile setup. During the onboarding wizard, which has 5 manual steps, you are asked to connect your website and social media links on Step 3 (External Links) before moving on to portfolio photos. If you used the AI-assisted onboarding chat beforehand, the AI may have already gathered some of these links during the conversation — you can review and update them on this step.
Any links you add during onboarding are the same ones that appear on your External Links profile tab afterward. You can update them at any time.

Social proof is one of the most powerful conversion drivers in the events industry. When a prospective client lands on your Wedy App listing, they want to see more than your profile description — they want to see your work in context. Here is how each platform helps:
Website — Your home base. Link to your portfolio, pricing page, or booking information for clients who want the full picture.
Instagram — A go-to platform for event professionals to showcase recent work, style consistency, and client engagement through photos and reels.
Facebook — Useful for client recommendations, business hours, and community engagement that reinforces your professional presence.
Pinterest — Inspiration boards that showcase your aesthetic. Especially valuable for florists, planners, decorators, and photographers whose work is inherently visual.
Tips
All external link fields are optional — add as many or as few as you like. Even a single link adds credibility.
Keep your Instagram handle current. If you rebrand or change your business name, update the handle here so the link stays valid.
Use your main business pages for social media links, not personal accounts. Clients expect a professional presence.
Double-check that your website is live and mobile-friendly. Many clients browse Wedy App on their phones and will tap through to your site.

Are external links required?
No. Every field on the External Links page is optional. However, adding at least one or two links strengthens your marketplace listing and helps clients learn more about you before making an inquiry.
Can I add links to other platforms like TikTok or YouTube?
Wedy Pro currently supports four external link types: Website, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. These are the platforms most used by event professionals to showcase their work.
Do clients see my links on the marketplace?
Yes. Your external links appear directly on your public Wedy App vendor profile. Clients browsing the marketplace can click through to any link you have added.
Can I update my links after onboarding?
Absolutely. Navigate to Profile > External Links at any time to add, change, or remove your website and social media links. Click Save and your updated links appear on your marketplace listing.
