About your vendor profile

Your vendor profile is your public-facing storefront on the Wedy App marketplace. When potential clients browse vendors on Wedy, your profile is what they see — your business name, description, portfolio, FAQs, and contact details all live here. A polished, complete profile directly influences whether a client reaches out or keeps scrolling.

Your profile is created during the AI-guided onboarding process when you first join Wedy Pro. Once onboarding is complete, you can return to your profile at any time to update your information, refine your description, and keep your listing fresh as your business evolves. The Profile section only appears in the sidebar after you complete the onboarding process — if you do not see it yet, finish onboarding first.

How to navigate to your profile

To access your vendor profile in Wedy Pro, click Profile in the sidebar under the Marketplace section. On desktop, you land directly on the Business Info page with a sidebar listing all profile sections. On mobile, you see a profile summary showing your avatar, stats (Rating, Bookings, Reviews), and your Profile Status card.

From here, navigate between six profile sections using the sidebar tabs (desktop) or tab navigation (mobile):

  • Business Info — Your core business details: name, photo, description, city, and phone number.

  • Portfolio — Upload and manage photos that showcase your work (5–20 images required).

  • External Links — Add your website and social media profiles.

  • Reviews — View client reviews submitted through the Wedy App (read-only).

  • FAQs — Add questions and answers that appear on your public listing.

  • Vendor Guidelines — Set service guidelines that auto-populate into your contracts.

How to edit your business information

The Business Info page is where you manage the core details that appear on your marketplace listing. To update your business information in Wedy Pro:

  1. Navigate to Profile in the sidebar under the Marketplace section.

  2. Click the Business Info tab if you are not already on it.

  3. To update your profile photo, click Edit on the avatar. This opens an image upload modal where you can crop and position your photo.

  4. Update your Business Name — this is the name that appears in marketplace search results and on client receipts.

  5. Write a compelling description in the About Your Business field. A minimum of 50 characters is required. Describe your services, experience, and what sets you apart.

  6. Search for and select your City using the location autocomplete. Start typing your city name and select from the suggestions.

  7. Optionally enter your Phone Number in US format — for example, (555) 123-4567.

  8. Click Save in the top-right corner.

For example, a wedding photographer based in Austin might write: "Award-winning Austin wedding photographer specializing in candid, editorial-style coverage. Over 200 weddings captured across Texas and beyond." This tells potential clients exactly what to expect.

Choose your business category

Your business category determines how clients discover you on the Wedy App marketplace. During onboarding, you select one category from a visual grid of options. This category controls which search filters surface your profile to potential clients.

Your business category is set during onboarding. To update your category after setup, contact the Wedy support team.

Available business categories include:

  • All-Inclusive Package

  • Photographer

  • Wedding Venue

  • Officiant

  • Hair & Makeup

  • Videographer

  • Florist

  • Bands and DJ

  • Catering

  • Cakes and Desserts

  • Bar Services

  • Rentals

  • Experience

  • Wedding Planner

  • Other

Choose the category that best represents your primary service. If your business spans multiple categories — say you are a planner who also handles florals — select the one clients are most likely to search for.

Preview your profile and marketplace listing

Once your profile has been approved by the Vendor Collective team, your listing goes live on the Wedy App marketplace. You can see your public listing status directly on the Profile page:

  • Listed (green badge) — Your profile is published and appears in search results. A share button appears in the top-right corner so you can copy your public listing URL and share it with clients.

  • Unlisted — Your profile does not appear in search results yet. Start a chat with the Vendor Collective team directly from the Profile Status card to begin the verification process.

When your profile is listed, clients can find you on the Wedy App at your public URL, view your portfolio, read your FAQs, and browse your packages. Your profile and your packages work together — clients discover your profile through marketplace search, then view your packages to understand your services and pricing before booking.

Your profile starts with AI-assisted onboarding

When you first join Wedy Pro, your profile is built through an AI-guided onboarding conversation. The AI assistant asks you about your business and builds your profile in real-time — you can see a live preview of your marketplace listing as the conversation progresses. If you prefer to fill in everything manually, click Skip AI to go directly to the step-by-step form wizard.

The onboarding process walks you through five profile sections: Basic Information, Business Category, External Links, Portfolio (minimum 5 photos), and FAQs. After completing onboarding, a celebration page shows your progress checklist with five next steps: Complete profile, Create at least 1 package that clients can book, Connect email account, Connect payment account, and Verify account with Vendor Collective team. All of your profile information is saved and can be edited at any time from the Profile section in the sidebar.

Tips for a standout profile

  • Upload a professional profile photo — Use a clear, high-quality headshot or your business logo. This is the first thing potential clients see in search results.

  • Write a specific description — Go beyond "We are a photography company." Mention your specialty, years of experience, and what makes your approach unique. Clients respond to personality and specificity.

  • Keep your city accurate — Your location affects marketplace search results. If you serve multiple areas, list your primary base city and mention your service area in your description.

  • Fill out every section — Profiles with portfolio photos, FAQs, external links, and vendor guidelines appear more complete and trustworthy to potential clients. A florist who adds arrangement photos, answers common timeline questions, and links their Instagram gives clients confidence before the first conversation even starts.

  • Update regularly — Refresh your description seasonally, add new portfolio photos after each event, and update your FAQs based on questions clients ask most often.
