Overview
The Wedy referral program, Refer & Earn, pays you cash for introducing other event professionals to Wedy. You share your personal referral link, and when someone subscribes to a paid plan through it and stays subscribed, you earn a reward. The vendor you referred gets a welcome discount, so it's a genuine win for both of you.
There are two ways to participate: the Member track, open to every Wedy vendor, and the invite-only Educator track for coaches and community leaders who refer at scale. This article explains how the program works and exactly what you can earn.
Only the account owner can generate the referral link. Team members with dashboard access can view referral activity on the Status tab, but enrolling in the program and generating the link is an owner-only action.
How Refer & Earn works
The flow is the same for everyone, in three steps:
Share your link. As the account owner, generate your personal referral link from the Refer & Earn page and share it by copy-paste or email.
They subscribe. Someone opens your link, signs up for Wedy, and subscribes to a paid plan. They receive a welcome discount for using your link.
You get paid. Once your referral has stayed subscribed through the payout hold period, your reward is paid automatically to your connected payout account.

What you earn as a Member
The Member track is open to every Wedy vendor. You earn a flat reward for each vendor you refer, plus milestone bonuses as your referrals add up:
$100 per referral: the same whether your referral chooses an annual or a monthly plan.
+$200 milestone bonus once 5 of your referrals stay subscribed.
+$200 milestone bonus again once you reach 10. That's $400 in milestone bonuses on top of your per-referral earnings.
For example, 10 referrals earns you $1,000 in base rewards plus $400 in milestone bonuses, for $1,400 in total. Member earnings are capped at $10,000 over the lifetime of your account. Once you reach the cap, additional referrals no longer add to your earnings while you're on the Member track.
What you earn as an Educator
The Educator track is invite-only, designed for coaches, course creators, and community leaders who introduce Wedy to a wider audience. Educators earn a higher base reward and volume bonuses, with no earnings cap:
$200 per annual referral and $100 per monthly referral.
Volume bonuses that grow as you refer more: +$25 per referral for your 6th through 25th, +$50 for the 26th–50th, +$75 for the 51st–100th, and +$100 for every referral beyond 100.
Because Educator earnings are uncapped and the bonuses compound with volume, high-volume referrers earn substantially more. Educator status also comes with an ongoing requirement: you need to refer at least 5 qualifying vendors in every rolling 12-month period to keep it. What your referral gets
The discount is what makes your link worth clicking. A vendor who signs up through your referral link receives:
2 months off their first year on an annual plan, or
30% off their first 2 months on a monthly plan.
The welcome discount is available only to people who have never held a paid Wedy subscription before. An existing free account is fine. The discount applies when they upgrade to a paid plan through your link.
When a referral counts
You earn a reward for a qualified referral: someone who is new to a paid Wedy subscription, signs up through your link, subscribes to a paid plan, and stays subscribed through the hold period. A signup on its own does not earn a reward; the referral has to become a paying subscriber and remain one.
Two timing rules matter:
Your link tracks a click for 30 days. If someone clicks your link and signs up within 30 days, the signup is credited to you.
They then have up to 180 days to subscribe for the referral to still count.
When you get paid
A reward becomes payable after your referral has stayed subscribed for 100 business days from their first subscription payment. Business days are Monday through Friday, so weekends don't count toward the total. If a referral cancels, is refunded, or charges back during that window, the reward isn't earned.
Once a reward clears the hold, it's paid automatically to your connected payout account. Payouts run on a weekly cycle, so allow up to about a week after a reward matures for it to arrive. Frequently asked questions
How much can I earn per referral?
Members earn $100 for each referral who subscribes, plus $200 milestone bonuses at 5 and 10 referrals. Educators earn $200 per annual referral (or $100 per monthly referral) plus volume bonuses that grow from +$25 to +$100 per referral.
Is there a limit on how much I can earn?
Member earnings are capped at $10,000 over the lifetime of your account. Educator earnings are uncapped, as long as you keep meeting the Educator maintenance requirement.
What discount does the person I refer get?
They get 2 months off their first year on an annual plan, or 30% off their first 2 months on a monthly plan. This is available to anyone who hasn't held a paid Wedy subscription before.
Do I earn a reward as soon as someone signs up?
No. A signup alone doesn't earn anything. The person has to subscribe to a paid plan and stay subscribed for 100 business days before the reward is paid.
Who can generate the referral link?
Only the account owner. Team members with dashboard access can view referral activity on the Status tab, but they can't enroll in the program or generate a link.
What's the difference between Member and Educator?
Every vendor is a Member automatically. Educator is an invite-only track with higher base rewards, uncapped volume bonuses, and its own application. You qualify to apply once you've referred 5+ vendors who stay subscribed within 12 months, and you keep Educator status by maintaining that same pace of 5+ qualifying referrals every rolling 12 months.
